Oh boy. COPPA is basically a whole new law where you can't collect data from kids. The data that YouTube collected was for video recommendations and ads. You see, ads that didn't use data made less money than ads that were data driven. New guidelines include animated characters being considered as kids content. It's a lot of bullshit lol.

Definitive bummer yeah. At least some peeps seem to be moving over to NG again, always a good thing...
I'm just scared because Newgrounds might get a bunch of low quality content on it. Newgrounds is known for incredible animations but with a large migration, it might cause that.

Feeling hopeful. It was a bit worse with the Tumblr migration, with thousands of NSFW artists joining up overnight, but that went pretty well too. I feel like when people start settling in the community aspect of it all keeps shining through; burning stronger than ever. maybe there's a limit to how much we can handle but so far: seems alright...
I was here two years ago actually. I didn't have an account at the time but I just played some games and watched some movies. A year later, I made an account but stopped using newgrounds. I'm glad to be back here!
Ah right, in that case rest assured it was pretty much just like this a decade back. ;) If not worse. New users everywhere. Crappy content. Stick figure flashes en masse. I think we'll make the best of it; some day some of these peeps will be behind some of those great animations too!
